I’m exhibiting at StART, Seoul, South Korea
If you haven’t seen my social media posts I’m delighted to announce I have been invited to exhibit 10 of my paintings at StART in Seoul, South Korea from August 31st-September 6th coinciding with the first Frieze Seoul. This opportunity has come from exhibiting my work at the Saatchi Gallery in London last year, so it just goes to show when you take a risk, opportunities you never imaged can happen. It’s even more exciting for me to announce that I’ll also be heading over to Seoul next week to be with them!
I’m busy in the background getting ready to go as I hadn’t planned to go until about 3 weeks ago. It’s still sinking in that I’m actually going! I’ve been binge watching travel videos about Seoul on YouTube to learn as much as I can before I go. I’m also addicted to Korean TV shows on Netflix so I’m even more excited to go there! If you’ve been there before and have any tips, I’d love to hear them.
I’m looking forward to seeing how my paintings will be received in a new country. I’m also looking forward to meeting lots of artists and seeing new work from around the world. If you’re at the fair please come say hello! Also if you know anyone in Seoul please let them know about the fair. This is the first StART Art Fair in Seoul and it’s being held at Galleria Forêt, located in the fashionable Sung Dong Gu district of Seoul, which is the central zone connecting Gangnam (you might remember the song Gangnam Style!) and Gangbuk.
OPENING TIMES ARE:
VIP/Press – 31st August: 3pm – 7pm
General Admission – 1st – 5th September: 11am – 7pm
Final Day – 6th September: 11am – 5pm
I’ll try my best to share as much of the trip as I can so stay tuned next week on my Instagram and Facebook pages. Making space on my phone to record everything is on my to do list!
Wish me luck!
