Walks In The Wild

This painting was inspired by my time at Cill Rialaig Artist Residency in Kerry, Ireland a few years ago. Staying in a little cottage in a rescued pre-famine village perched up high on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic in winter really left it’s mark on me and my painting. One of my favourite things to do was watch the huge powerful waves crash against the rocks. The beauty of the scenery in this area is incredible and the impact of the wild Irish landscape has stayed with me since.
